Welcome to School of Speaking. By using our software and services, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • "Software": refers to our spectrographic speech analysis algorithms for speech therapy and phonetic research.
  • "Services": includes all functionalities offered by Schoolofspeaking.com, including the measurement of quantitative voice parameters (jitter, shimmer).
  • "User": any natural or legal person who uses the Software or Services.

2. Access and License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for clinical diagnosis and academic research in accordance with these terms.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or distribute the Software without our express written permission.

3. Usage Restrictions

The Software is designed for professional use in speech therapy and phonetic research. It is expressly prohibited to use the Software for:

  • Presentation courses or public speaking skills training.
  • Confidence training for public speaking.
  • Any use not related to medical or scientific analysis of voice parameters.

4. Data and Privacy

For the operation of our algorithms, speech data may be processed. We treat all data confidentially and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You retain all rights to your input data. We do not claim ownership over speech recordings uploaded by you.

5. Liability

Our Software provides quantitative measurements (such as jitter and shimmer) to support clinical decision-making. The results do not constitute a medical diagnosis in themselves.

School of Speaking is not liable for decisions or actions based on the output of the Software. The ultimate responsibility for diagnosis remains with the treating clinician or researcher.
